Home of Tampa's hockey team, the Lightning, the Ice Palace has quickly become one of the best places to catch an arena concert, hosting everyone from Garth Brooks to the Rolling Stones.

The Goods
Comfortable indoor seating (a must in Florida summers) makes the Palace great for concert-goers of all ages and a dedicated parking garage means easy access. Enjoy Billy Joel or Herbie Hancock with all the stadium amenities. All the facilities are generally well-kept and still new, but read those section signs carefully if you want to find your seat quickly--it's easy to get turned around.

The state-of-the-art lighting and big stage are nice, but the sound is seriously boomy if you're towards the back. With an all-too-temporary feel, the Palace would be better served by a more permanent stage structure. Maybe if the Lightning start winning...…
