It would be hard to find a classier down-home restaurant.. The Scene
Nestled on the first floor of a huge skyscraper, Boardin's digs are top drawer for a country-style restaurant. The food is mostly homemade and of consistently superior quality. Big plate-glass windows soar above, and big trees from the courtyard outside drop dappled light onto the almost-always full tables inside. The interior is comfortable and unusually clean, so it's a great spot for a full-dress breakfast with all the fixin's--fluffy scrambled eggs, pancakes, good coffee.

The Food
Lunch is equally good, especially the country-fried steak, a big cut of beef, hand-battered, deep fried and oozing with a creamy white gravy. Order a side of fluffy mashed potatoes with it, and ask the server to top the spuds with gravy. Your mother couldn't cook a better meal than this.
