One of the swiftest moving rivers in Florida is quick drive from Tampa Bay's sprawl.. The Setting
This 3,950-acre park offers camping, picnicking, canoe rentals and seasonal swimming in a handicapped-accessible man-made swimming pool. Nature trails allow visitors access to hammocks of live oaks, sabal palms and hickories that border the scenic Hillsborough River. A reconstructed fort recalls the 1830's.

The Facility
The park has some campsites with power and water hookups; some also allow pets. A portion of River's Edge campsites are no pet campsites with electrical hook-ups and water; some are non-electric no pet campsites with water; some others are in the Hammock Circle Pet Camp--this area has power/water hook-ups and allows pets. A dump station services RVs and trailers.
