Best Mexican Food in San Antonio-been there 4 times

I was working at the college when I first found this restaurant. I came back with the family 4 times since in 2008/2009 and we have all loved the food. Plenty of free hot chips and salsa when you are seated and the food comes fairly quick even when busy. Seems like a great place for the family since there was not a bar. Staff was always friendly as well.
- Pros: Authentic Mexican with a family owned touch
- Cons: small drink menu, can be a wait for larger tables, go early

Returned recently from up North and headed out to Pancho's Villa for dinner the other night and I have to say that the food is just as good as it has ever been. I had the tamales (with the ranchero sauce) and my wife ate the chile rellenos. All tasted very fresh and the rice and beans are just as we remembered. The restaurant looked good as they have made some nice upgrades inside since we had last been in there. We had a very pleasant dinner despite a short wait in the cold weather. Always look forward to eating some good mexican food at Pancho's.
- Pros: They now have chocolate deep fried ice cream
- Cons: No heaters outside anymore?

Best Mexican food we've found since Texas!

My husband and I moved from Texas to Port Richey seven years ago, and let me tell you... Never, let me repeat, NEVER, have we found a more satisfying authentic Mexican restaurant in Florida until we stumbled upon Pancho's Villa in the tiny town of San Antonio. They serve very generous portions at an unbeatable price! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff and management make each experience even more delightful! Now that we've found Pancho's, we make our 40 minute drive out there every weekend - it's definitely worth the drive because we always leave full and happy, and always looking forward to the following weekend!!! Thank You Pancho's!!!

- Cons: There's not one closer to Port Richey
