I am sad to see such a wonderful place GONE !!!!. I have eaten at this restaurant everytime I went in that direction and a few times even made a special trip. I can't imagine anyone not liking this restaurant. I just wish it could have remained open and running the way it was back then. I know it seemed a bit pricey but when you look at all the items you got for the price it was well worth it...I am so sad to see this restaurant go away - maybe they will reopen it someday. Branch Ranch thanks for all the great years you spent here with us.

Closed! Oh no. They had such good food. A potpie actually came with every meal. I couldnt' believe how much food they gave you. ! They do sell their pickled items and jellies for delivery though!

Excellant Food!. I would give anything to have Branch Ranch still in operation! I would be their #1 customer. Having grown up in the area and dining there many times, I loved everything on the menu. Enjoyed the country atmosphere and seating arrangements. All of the veges that came to the table for sharing, were excellant! And the relish tray was to die for!! I still order the pickles today and reflect back on the fond memories I have. The Coconut cake was my favorite dessert . I would take it home as I never had room after all the scrumptous food. Probably the Fried Chicken was my favorite of all the entree choices. Maybe one day, some family member or other person, would re-open the establishment keeping everything the same. I would be one happy camper!!!

Country Cookin' At Its Best. If you want a nice country meal, this place can't be beat. The eggplant casserole is yummy as are the other veggies - all home-cooked to perfection. This Jersey girl was very pleased with the country fare. The family style of serving may surprise you at first, but if you give into the country style of hospitality, you will not be disappointed. Service is great except on holidays when it is good. Probably not best for fussy-eater kids. Keep those biscuits coming!

The reason diners leave groaning is that the country eats are delicious--and plentiful.. The Scene
This big, family-owned country restaurant, nicknamed "Grandma's Groaning Board," has operated near Plant City practically unchanged for decades. Longtime fans of the Branch Ranch fast a bit, so they're really hungry when they arrive. Leaving all pretense of self-control at the door, they eat till the last morsel of peach cobbler and the last drop of sweet tea is gone. It's about 20 minutes east of Tampa, and makes a pleasant excursion out of the city.

The Food
Great bowls and platters of fresh, homemade vegetables, relishes, and meats are served "family-style," with every dinner entree. So, if you order country ham from the dinner menu, it automatically arrives with: salad tray, buttermilk biscuits, orange-pineapple marmalade, sweet cucumber pickles and pickled beets, baked yellow squash, candied yams, eggplant casserole, chicken pot pie, and fresh pole beans cooked with ham hocks and Irish potatoes.

Don't Waste Your Time or MONEY!. This was one of the biggest let downs that we have experianced in dining, with 7 kids we decided this would be a great "family" style place to eat, WRONG....the tabel was ladened with a bunch of veggies and bread, we than were to choose from a very expensive menu, I had the ham and chicken..the very thin overly salty ham was dry and the only flavor was SALT, the chicken was fine, but hardly worth the $17 or so dollars.....none of the kids liked the food, and the meal on the whole was extremely OVER PRICED, the waitress was hard to understand and didn't spend more than 35 seconds at our table while we tried to figure out exactly how things worked there. Over all the meal left a lot to be desired, and was shockingly overpriced. I would not suggest going out of your way to eat here.
