Good prices and great food. Get the No-Name with cheese...my favorite! Their chicken is moist and delicious! This is a great lunch place. In and out quick and a great price.
Decent food, decent prices; can't be stereotyped! busy at lunch & dinner, but service is quick..
I eat here often when I visit Brandon. I've had the chicken, the ribs, the Greek salad and the "no name", several times. All are great! The menu can't be pigeonholed, either -- some of the choices suggest a Mediterranean influence, others a Caribbean style with red or black beans & rice.
If you're a self-styled gourmand looking for a meal at the Ritz, you'll write comments like the last one. But if you're like most of us, looking for a decent meal at a fair price, you won't go wrong here - and, like me, you'll be back!
Better food is served elsewhere, avoid this dive..
We visited recently on a sunny Sat. afternoon. The staff was friendly, the prices were ok but the food was very subpar.
Both myself and my guest had grilled/roasted chicken. This was the highlight of the meal, very moist and well seasoned. Unfortuantely, it was a little cool, but it was otherwise great. Everything else, however, was not great.
The ribs were microwaved (!), covered in dreary sweet bbq sauce. I can not recommend against these culinary abominations enough. The coleslaw tasted like it came from a Sam's Club 30 gallon bucket. The mashed potatoes were from a box. The mac n'cheese was missing any cheese flavor. The baked beans were alright, but not very special. The bread was stale.
The soda fountain, however, was perfect.
All in all, I hope their catering business does well because their retail side was severely lacking. We won't visit again.
