Chain restaurants usually arouse immediate suspicion, and with good reason. We're used to them producing the same tired, unimaginative food that appeals to the masses, rarely revamping their menu or offering anything unusual.

Luckily, JoTo is different. Their sushi is some of the best and freshest in the Bay area, and their service is courteous and swift. Order from an extensive sushi menu, or, for the less adventurous, sample their decent variety of surf 'n' turf.

At the Brandon location, they offer teppan-yaki dining, where the chef (half cook/half entertainer) cooks your meal in front of you at the hibachi table. Ok, so maybe the jokes are a bit stilted, but it's still a fun experience.…
