Buffet of the Year Award!. Crazy Buffet deserves the Buffet of the Year Award in my book. I have eaten in many restaurants and find it to be exceptionally above the rest. Sushi variety was amazing, so many to choose from. Hot foods were full and enticing and actually HOT! Never had Peking Duck and now I am hooked! This is a great value for the small price you pay for the huge variety offered! A definite recommend to anyone looking for a warm & inviting environment to dine in.

Price comprimises food. Crazy Buffet was probably cleaner and better food as far as a buffet goes. I visited when the restaurant opened for the day and had sushi. I was sick for the rest of the day, and have not been back since. Terrible experience.

Best Sushi place for the Price. You can not beat Crazy Buffet for the price... There are better no doubt but you'll pay a lot more for your food.. This place has a nice feel to it as well as good food.... and a wide variety of food/sushi as well.

If you want some good food at a low price this is the place to go.

Decent food for a high price.. The food is good. The atmosphere is better than your average buffet. The service is ok. I have eaten at Crazy several times for lunch. If you do not get there early, when they run out of food they do not replace it. At the end of the lunch time there will a very limited selection.

This place has gone from wonderful to a waste of money. When Crazy Buffet first opened it was REALLY good and worth every overpriced cent. The past 2 years it has gone down hill and now it is beyond horrible, the food is bad, the service disgraceful (a waitress actually threatened to drop hot food on my baby who was in a highchair as well as other extremely rude behavior and just plain lazyness) . The variety of food is seriously lacking and has become way overly americanized. The quality has become something I wouldn't feed my dog. The fillet mignon is tough and poor quality. the peking duck sat on the carving board for half an hour before anyone carved it and nothing else was readily replenished (and this was a Weeknight not a weekend). The chocolate fountain was dirty. It is really sad how bad it has gotten. This used to be my favorite restaurant, but now we will never go back.

Great place to pack it in. If you are in the mood to put away some sushi, this is a good stop. My wife and I usually spend $40+ on a sushi dinner, so its nice to have a couple other things to pick at on a buffet and then get some dessert for the same price. The sushi is better than average, especially for a buffet. I wouldn't replace the local sushi stop for this, but its a good place to include on the list when you know you are hungry enough for a good buffet.

Not off to a good start.... I haven't yet tried this restaurant, but...I'm already a bit apprehensive. I just called to make a reservation (since it's Friday) and was told that they only take reservations for parties of 8 or more. Frankly, this is a stupid policy (only slightly better than not taking reservations at all), and is disrespectful to the customer. It's like telling someone "your time isn't important to me". The slightly manic-sounding woman on the phone wasn't particularly courteous or pleasant, either.

We'll see how it goes...

Too many tip jars. For such an expensive place there are too many tip jars all over the place for my taste. There are tip jars on the Sushi bar, on the grill, almost everywhere you can get food, there is a tip jar.

Mr.. I am extremely happy that I chose Crazy Buffet to eat. The sushi, the salads, every single item on the buffet was excellent!! I cannot imagine a better place to dine in all of Tampa when it comes to great food, atmosphere and the price. I will continue to go back time and time again.

Where "all you can eat" buffet meets fine dining.. The Scene
Forget everything you ever thought you knew about buffet lines. This 350-seat Japanese-theme eatery is quickly becoming a craze throughout Florida and the Carolinas. The dining rooms are partitioned into intimate sections, some with televisions tuned to the game and some reserved for smoking. It's quite an avante garde concept that includes live music and a full bar.

The Food
You pick one meat item to go with your stir-fry for starters and the rest is unlimited. Visit the chefs at the hibachi grill, where your food is cooked to order. Then hit the buffet which includes all the pertinent items plus steak, sushi and seafood (on the weekend). It's tough to complain about all you can eat snow crab legs, tuna, salmon, eel, oysters, fish, shrimp, crawfish, mussels , scallops and more. The only thing it could use is a larger dessert selection.
