Tampa >Crazy Buffet In Tampa
Never had any problems with this
restaurant although if you think "an all-you-can-eat buffet" is the same as a top Asian restaurant you will be mistaken. Call this more a Golden Corral Asian place due to its large size.
For the freshest sushi and the largest selection, come early to this place. The food selection is huge but that also means there will be "hits and misses" with some of the food.
My friends always have the short order cook make up a meal and I have not heard complaints. I am one of those people who try this and that. My biggest complaint is the green tea ice cream is so hard you can't scoop it out with the tiny spoon they offer.
Huge rip off, dry dog food.
Worst food. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere but the food was the horrendous! We tried just about everything. We went on a Friday evening for dinner when we thought it would be fresh. The sushi was dry and tasteless, the utensils were dirty and unkept. The fish looked like it had been sitting for a while in some parts. It was so dry you couldn't have swallowed.
We noticed there was a Few people that went there just for the crab legs. Every time we went to get some there was some redneck family pushing and looking over our shoulder insisting we get out of their way. The customers in fact were RUNNING. It made the whole experience out of control.
The hot food was just as bad. Some was very questionable. Nothing was labeled right. The noodles were hard and not cooked. The sauces were settled to the bottom. The Peking duck was picked through and all that was left were scraps and bones. Through the whole hour we were there, no duck was to be found.
Deserts were ok. The only thing that wasn't dry was the ice cream. Probably because they didn't make it there. Lol.
The cake and little deserts were dry. The carrot cake was actually hard on the outside like stale bread.
50$ later, we wasted food and weren't full when we left. Waste of money.
Birthday ruined. My family and I went to your store to celebrate my birthday on January 6th, but it was ruined by a disruptive and unpleasant employee. My mom went to the sushi bar and used the wrong utensil. An Asian man who worked at the sushi bar yelled at her "why are you using that" and argued with her. Even though the manager Annie came and apologized to my mom and I but as I walked to the sushi bar to get fruit, I over heard Annie say to the Asian man who yelled at my mom "I apologized already and that's her (something to that effect)" then she walked away. We go to your restaurant on a regular basis and was quite sure we would enjoy ourselves as usual on my birthday. However, after our experience dealing with that particular employee and management, we were not impressed or satisfied with the management.
Great Food and huge variety. Worth the price. One of the best Chinese Food buffets you will ever experience! Amazing variety of everything from steak to sushi. Well worth a visit if you have never eaten there before. Ignore the negative reviews as once you have tried Crazy buffet you will go back.
Amazing Food Ever!. I go to Crazy Buffet because the free meals on your Birthday! Now that's an awesome deal! The Bartender is awesome and the service around the Buffet is outstanding! I Love seafood so if your looking for seafood this is the BEST place to go!
Great Place! Great Experience!. I've been a regular at Crazy Buffet for 5 years. I am in the military and love Crazy buffet especially since they offer a military discount. I don't understand why anyone would even put other people's name out, maybe they are just having a bad day. However, I recommend this great place to others. Try it out!...
HORRIBLE, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!. The food was ok, but the service was by far the worst I have ever had. The manager yelled at some military members for asking for a military discount. The same manager yelled at a group of people with a coupon. When I say yelled, I mean yelled. It was really weird. I finally went to the manager and asked who I can complain to about her, and she gave me her OWN business card... Her name was Evelyn, I will never forget. Also they are not a member of the BBB so good luck complaining.
Poor Food Quality and Cheap Environment.
The Crazy Buffet web site defines this restaurant as fine dining, with live piano music. I have no idea which Crazy Buffet has that ambience, but it isn't the restaurant in Tampa on Dale Mabry. The environment is standard in appearance for a buffet restaurant has pendant lights that hang way too low over the tables where a head can be hit if the tables are rearranged, which is done frequently for large groups.
The food is quality is for the most part sub standard for the over priced menu buffet charge. Some food is far too salty to taste the actual item. Most items are not seasoned as Asian food should be, it is over sauced and over cooked.
The sushi sits out on a display and is room temperature, instead of cold as it should be. Most of the cooked food is luke warm, with a dry and tough texture, making the sauce the only relief to be able to eat the item on your plate.
The selections of food are not what would qualify as fusion. Asian fusion is a combination of cultures, not a buffet selection of Chinese food and a selection of sushi to define Japanese food. Japanese culture has cooked food items as well as sushi.
The cost of the buffet is far over priced for the poor customer service and poor food quality. I would suggest that you find another buffet restaurant that has quality of food in mind, not their bottom line.
I love it. I'm a sushilover. In crazy buffet , I don't need to spend a lot of money and I can eat whatever i love to eat....that's very good for me
Great food, Reasonable Prices. Enjoy my dining experiences at Crazy Buffet. Food is always excellent and staff helpful and courteous. A weekly stop on my diningout list. Haven't been disappointed! Pricing well in line for the amount and variety of foods available.
