Editorial Review for Martini Bar – by Eric Vician
The Scene
An open nook adjacent to Dan Marino's Town Tavern on the second floor of BayWalk, you'll find girlfriends chatting everywhere. The attractive female bartenders, all dressed in black, draw in the male crowd. Sit at the lit marble-top main bar, which also opens to the outside balcony, and enjoy the live band that plays literally on top of the booze. Or grab a seat at a table or the circular bar in the back. Tampa Bay Storm coach Tim Marcum and local sports media members have been spotted here.
The Drinks
Try a homemade infused martini in various flavors ranging from $6.50 to $8. There's a decent array of imported beer such as Amstel Light and Heineken, and, of course, your basic watered-down domestics.

Insider Tips
Avoid the StampIf you get there before 9pm, you'll save yourself the $5 cover charge as well as the black stamp on your hand.
Get the StampIf you leave to hit the restroom or stroll around BayWalk, get stamped because the bouncers are sticklers at the re-entry door.
When to GoHappy hour is 4pm-7pm and the band starts jamming at 8:30pm. Wednesday is ladies' night.

If you want to go to a place where they overcharge for drinks, short pour, AND charge a cover... then by all means, go here. I was quite disappointed with this place, as I have recently moved here from NYC and was looking for a nice lounge to chill in. All this place has is a few well paid honeys in skimpy skirts and a sausage fest. I guess its good for the ladies, if they are looking for a shallow, self-absorbed scumbag to use them, but otherwise, I recommend a pass on this place. I wish they had Red Rock West down here, but unfortunately they don't. You'd be better off going to the Garden or Emeralds or Courigans. Even Mastrys has a better appeal than this scam joint. Good luck to ya. Peace out
