A high-rise hotel with great views.. The Scene
As one of the few downtown hotels with meeting space, this hotel draws lots of business traffic. It also lures baseball players in town for spring training games. Leisure visitors appreciate its access to the downtown marina and Albert Whitted, a small municipal airport. Because of the international professional sports clientele, the staff is multi-lingual.

The Details
This hotel will never be called luxurious, but its lobby is spacious, the staff is efficient and the 13 meeting rooms are very practical for moderate-size functions. The 333 guest rooms have grand views in all directions, especially those facing eastward toward the town's waterfront. In general, standard rooms are functional if a little bit worn. In terms of convenience, the property is a half-hour shuttle ride from Tampa International Airport and within walking distance of many downtown restaurants and even some of the city's noteworthy museums and entertainment centers. A free shuttle is provided to destinations within five miles.
