A great dish to try during a Devil Rays game..
The Scene
You'll find baseball fans walking around the corridor of Tropicana Field. The restaurant offers only counter service, but you can sit at nearby tables to enjoy your food or take it back to your seat.
The Food
Bongo's specializes in seafood dishes, with only a few items on its little menu, but they are terrific. The lobster roll is my favorite—big red chunks of lobster encased in a silky dressing, peppered with little crisps of celery. The filling sits on a grilled hotdog-style bun, decorated with a fresh frill of lettuce that gives it additional crunchiness--just a delightful dish.
Bongo's also offers respectable grouper sandwiches, fried clams and conch fritters. All dishes that are local favorites of the Tampa Bay area and represent the best of our cuisine.
