Head south down Tampa's most beautiful street, Bayshore Boulevard, and you'll stumble upon Ballast Point Park, one of the city's most popular urban escapes.

What You Get
A quaint wooden pier extends 960 feet into Old Tampa Bay. Stroll to the end and swap fish stories with sun-baked anglers. Trees provide a lush touch, a gazebo adds a dash of grandeur, kids run rampant on the playground and shelters keep the occasional rains from ruining picnics.

Romance Factor
Sit at the end of the pier, admire the striking view of downtown's skyline and watch the yachts sail by. During the day it can get a little crowded, but at nighttime the ambiance is set by the sound of waves lapping against the pier and the stars twinkling overhead.
