A true brew pub for white and blue collar.. A fine example of what brewpubs should be: good food and great beer. Located as an anchor in Centro Ybor, the Ybor City Brewing Company has been brewing fine beers for years ranging from strong Barleywines to fine examples of Hefeweizen to more typical Amber ales.

The food gets special attention, elevating it above the level of typical pub fare, without gourmet prices.

This is some of the freshest beer you will get anywhere, as the vats are literally on the back side of the restaurant. There is also a patio that has a bar, and table service, so you can people watch the variety of persons that frequent Ybor, ranging for blue collar joes looking for a pint, to white collar fellas in business meetings, to motorcyclists, club goers, historical buffs and the occasional Visigoth.

Looking to return. I ate and had a few beers here a couple of years ago when I was down in Flordia for a conference. The food was good and the micro brews delicious. I'll be heading down again shortly and would like to make this one of my stops while in the area.

For a tasty way to explore the past, tour the Brew Co. and sample handcrafted beers.. The Scene
Housed in a former cigar factory once operated by Seidenberg and Company/Havana-American Cigar Company, the century-old building switched gears to beer in 1994. The tour moves quickly, touching on ingredients and cooking processes that produce the brand sold locally at bars, restaurants, and supermarkets. Fans of Ybor Gold and Ybor Brown Ale carry it home by the case. Logo lovers carry away Ybor City Brewing Company clothes, beer taps, neon signs, and even tables.

Brewing Company History
No novice to cooking up beer batches, Humberto Perez oversees the secret blend of hops and barley with a master's touch. This third-generation brewer's grandfather founded one of the largest breweries in Venezuela 70 years ago.
