It's All Relative. I think Edgar went to the KiKiKi one time and one time only. If you don't hit the right time, it can be dead, and you can miss the real fun. But one thing can be said - the staff AND the patrons, 99% of the time, are the friendliest lot you could imagine. I'm sure Edgar sat in a corner by himself, avoided everyone, and waited for a young Johnny Depp to walk in dressed in nothing but shorts, and walk right up to him and offer to go home with him.

Kikiki is FUN, and you can almost NEVER go without having at least some friendly conversation and laughs. I've met PLENTY of HOT younger men there, including COLLEGE FRAT BOYS and military men from Macdill.

You can't beat the drink prices, and they aren't watered down like in the "posh" gay bars. All in all a fun, easy going DIVE. Yes, it is definitely a dive. THAT'S WHY IT'S SO MUCH FUN!

from a customer not the management. Roaches everywhere. On your glass. Don't use the toilet. What kind of self loathing person would enjoy this dump? The only other people there when I was were a couple of old drunken bums choking on cigarettes. I have not seen any of the "college guys" written about in another review and I think most people who have walked in to this filthy horrible dive would laugh at that. Unless it was a college course given in prison. The sickly looking "trade" types want your money here and I have not seen anything I would want to pay or even go with for free. The conversation consisted of jails, drugs, etc. in the most low down way of speaking anyone could imagine.

The plain TRUTH is that when you are here, you have hit rock bottom...you can go no lower. Now I wouldn't mind going so low with someone hot in my arms but LETS FACE IT, it isn't happening in this roach infested hell hole.

Had a Ball !!!!. Read the online reviews and didn't expect much when I visited the 1st time. However I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The bartender Steve was very friendly and a great conversationalist. Also left me surf awhile on his laptop. Faron, the manager (?) was equally friendly and made me feel very welcome. He also pointed out some hot spots I should see in Tampa, which I actually left and checked out. I returned later in the afternoon and met a few of the customers. There was some nice eye candy that didn't come onto you unless they were invited., I did strike up a conversation with one of the cutest (shirt off) who was very bright and a great conversationalist., I'm a snow bird so I'll be heading north very soon. But.....be certain that when I return to Tampa I'll be back again. Thank you for being so friendly and helpful. Mike from King's Point.

Fun, Friendly Hole in the Wall. THREE UPDATES! #1 - KiKiKi now offers a full service liquor bar again and often has a two-for-one drink special until 8 p.m.! #2 - They now accept credit and debit cards, plus there is an ATM on site. #3 - They have a sexy go go boy on Saturday nights and are actively looking for more dancers to work on both Friday and Saturday night!

Okay, this is not a posh night club with outrageous drink prices and bartenders who play tricks with the drink prices like a gay bar I won't name in Ybor city. This is a small, older, neighborhood kind of bar where you are going to want to be friendly to the people around you if you really expect to have the best time. 99% of the patrons are regulars, and almost all are just as friendly as can be. Don't be afriad to join in a conversation or strike one up! The bartenders are extremely friendly and welcoming, especially Franklin and Anthony, and Mickey is really nice, too!

Every time I go to this bar I have a great time. You just need to lighten up and go with the flow at a place like this! Yes, that cute young guy is probably in the bar looking for an opportunity, so if that is what you came for, buy him a drink and at the very least, you'll make a new friend. But lots of people just come here to see a familiar friendly face and have a few laughs passing the time with good conversation. All are welcome here, and I have even seen straight couples fit in very nicely.

To the guy who said there are police raids here, maybe that was true years ago, but I have been there enough times over a long enough period of time to say that this simply isn't true at all, if it ever was.

If you are a young guy or a USF/HCC/UT student, don't be afraid to check the place out - nobody there is an axe murderer and you will feel comfortable if you just relax. If you want to leave with a new friend, you can, if you want to just relax and drink and have a good time with your pants on, you can do that, too. Lots of great pool matches go down on the pool table and they have an amazing juke box. If you're cute, and someone sends you a drink, accept it and say thanks. It doesn't mean you have to leave with him! But it is a nice ice-breaker. True, many of the regulars here are looking to make a friend and maybe go have some fun, but nothing is written in stone!

I love this friendly, fun little dive bar.
