Editorial Review for Orpheum – by Jen Robbins
In Short
Run by the people from the State Theatre, they've brought in a slew of national acts while remaining steady supporters of local bands. Housed in the space of the now-defunct Fortunate One, the owners revamped the sound system and the layout, plus added a snazzy leopard print pool table. Their beer selection is more than decent, including Guinness and Newcastle on tap, and they also feature a full liquor bar.

The Orpheum serves as an oasis in the desert of idiots that is Ybor City. Bouncing from one nauseating club to the other can leave you high and dry, but the Orpheum almost always has good music going on friendly bartenders. The sound quality is fantastic and I never seem to get tired of the place.
Pros: great shows, decent priced drinks, pleasant staff
Cons: crowded sometimes, warm, parking
