Run by the people from the State Theatre, they've brought in a slew of national acts while remaining steady supporters of local bands. Housed in the space of the now-defunct Fortunate One, the owners revamped the sound system and the layout, plus added a snazzy leopard print pool table. Their beer selection is more than decent, including Guinness and Newcastle on tap, and they also feature a full liquor bar.

The Orpheum is such an interesting place it??s hard to put it into words. With always a diverse crowd, its definitely one of the best places in town for local music and local entertainment. Many nights you will find a line out the door for the popular shows. The cover is reasonable as well as the drink prices. This place is a lot larger than it looks outside and even if its packed, its not that hard to move around. The bar is a good size and they have 2-3 bartenders working so you don??t have to wait long for your drink. PROS: Roomy, variety of shows CONS: bathrooms are gross!

I only just learned about the Orpheum 2 months ago I believe. I am so glad I did! I got free tickets as a gift from a band that I know well and it's a really awesome club/bar. If you are a clubber and in the area, you should definitly check it out. It's very cool and the prices are more than reasonable! Certainly is worth a visit!

The Orpheum is one of the few places that brings diamond in the rough grungepunk scene. Underground hip-hop, electronica, and underdepressed music to sooth the most raveged overdramatic soul.
