In 1920, Edward Durwood opened a single-screen picture house in Kansas City, Mo. Over the next 40 years, his company went on to pioneer the use of four- and six-screen theaters. In 1969, the company incorporated as American Multi-Cinema Inc. in honor of its signature multiplexes. Now, the company is known for theaters with 14 or more screens, as well as innovations such as armrests with built-in cup holders, stadium seating with LoveSeats, ATM-style ticketing and online ticket purchasing.

Very best movie theater in Tampa Bay!. I love going to this Movie theater. It is very clean inside. It is new with very modern bathrooms and carpet. It has class for a movie theater. My husband and I drive 20 mile just to go to this theater because we like it that much! Stadium seating and the sound inside the theater is awsome!!

Parking, parking, parking. I love this theater. First run and select cimena showings are great. Ample movie times and theaters. Staff is friendly and helpful. Consessions are abumdant and fresh, and it would be awesome if they EVER opened ANY of the satelite consession stands. That being said, now comes the BAD news...the parking at this theater is nothing short of a nightmare. Truly the option I can think of that would POSSIBLY resolve that issue would be a parking garage specifically designated for movie patrons.

Centrally located, stadium seating.. Very nice. Comfortable seating. Customer service friendly. Good snacks.

Top notch theater. Best place to see new movies!!. Everyone knows that going to see a movie is not inexpensive. So why go to a cheap (& by cheap I don't mean money cheap; I mean old sound system, uncomfortable seats, totally flat floors) & old movie theater??? Movies tickets cost the same, so atleast view it 1st class.

I lived in New Port Richey for most of my life & the Hollywood 18 on US19 is about the best local theater. However, after moving to Oldsmar (right across from the AMC 20) I must recommend highly that anyone going to see a movie, go to the AMC 20!! The theater on US19 in Palm Harbor is ok. It has a decent sound system & seats, but the AMC 20 is only 10 min farther away. .... JUST GO TO THE AMC 20 !!!!!!!

Worth the drive!. I live in Holiday and this theatre is the best around! It is definately worth the 30 minute drive!

Gooooooooood Place. This is a good theater, excellent choice in movies. Concessions lines moves pretty well althought the refreshments are a little pricy. Overall the best Movie Theater in the area.
